PRP hair and face treatmetn with Jay Ann

Your skin’s own biology, working harder for you.

What clients commonly notice

PREPARE

Preparing the skin to respond well to treatment. This includes an assessment of baseline skin condition, discussing home care, and understanding any contributing factors that may influence how the skin responds.

STIMULATE

Using treatment designed to support the skin’s own collagen and elastin activity. The aim is to support skin quality gradually and from within, over a structured course of sessions.

SUPPORT

Ongoing care to maintain and build on outcomes over time. This includes home care guidance, scheduled maintenance sessions, and monitoring how the skin responds across the programme.

Plasma results develop gradually. Most clients notice the first changes four to six weeks after treatment as collagen production increases. The full result from a course of three sessions typically becomes visible at three to six months.

Plasma | Photoaged cheek skin

19 pooled studies | Periorbital wrinkles, pigmentation, and photoaging

Microneedling + plasma | Facial photoaging

Nature of procedure: Plasma treatment (clinically known as Platelet-Rich Plasma) is an autologous medical procedure that uses your own blood. It is a non-approved medicine in New Zealand, meaning it has not been registered by Medsafe for a specific therapeutic purpose. Plasma is offered at our Birkenhead clinic as a health service to support skin quality.

Balanced expectations: Plasma works by using the growth factors in your own platelets to support your skin’s own collagen and elastin activity. Outcomes are not immediate and typically develop over several weeks. While many clients experience meaningful improvements in skin texture and tone, individual outcomes vary based on biological factors, age, and lifestyle. There is a risk that the treatment may not produce the desired outcome for every client.

Known risks: Common side effects include localised swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection site. As with any procedure involving skin penetration, there is a minor risk of infection. Because plasma uses your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is low.
