POST-TREATMENT CARE
Looking after yourself after treatment
Following these guidelines helps support a smooth recovery and keeps any temporary effects like redness or swelling to a minimum. If you have any concerns after treatment, call us directly.
Don’t touch the area
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated areas for the
first 24 hours.
Stay upright
Stay upright for at least 4 hours after treatment to allow the product to settle correctly.
No strenuous exercise
Avoid intense physical activity, gym workouts, or heavy exertion for 24 hours after treatment.
Sun protection
Use a broad-spectrum SPF to protect the skin, particularly if there is any redness or sensitivity post-treatment.
Stay hydrated
Drink plenty of water in
the days following treatment to support your skin’s recovery.
Avoid alcohol and blood thinners
Avoid alcohol and non-essential blood-thinning medications or supplements for
24 hours unless medically prescribed.
IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS
Mild redness, tenderness, or swelling at the injection sites is normal and typically settles within a few hours. Bruising can occasionally occur and usually resolves within a few days.

If you notice anything unexpected or have any questions in the days following treatment, call us on 09 418 0743 or come in. We’d rather you reach out and put your mind at ease than sit with a concern.
Effects take ten to fourteen days to appear. If the effect doesn’t look quite right after two weeks, come back in and we’ll assess whether a small top-up is appropriate.
